Head of Technology Unit of the Nutrition and Food Research Center and Chair of Food Process Engineering and Dairy Technology at the Life and Food Sciences Center Weihenstephan of the Technische Universität München, development of the scientific understanding of complex food systems and their constitutive components, and the way they interact with the process during manufacturing, research activities are organised in three working groups which reflect the following core competencies: Bio-Processes and Aseptic-Processing, Formation of Structures in Food Systems, and Protein Technology, Chair of the IDF Standing Committee on Dairy Science and Technology since 2003.
